Seeding the Grove

We can touch God’s grace whenever we want…”

- Rev. K. Almond, Director of The Grove

Lay and clergy church leaders stay busy. This may be an overstatement of the obvious for the ‘target audience’ of this blog, but we all know how true it is.

A few years ago, Rev. K Almond took a year of sabbatical leave and attended the Shalem Institute.

“God was working to show me the contemplative way of prayer,” she told me from her home in Buckhannon. “We get so busy in the church, we think it’s about what we are doing, rather than what God can do.”

Slow down and listen is pretty good advice, IMHO.

The Grove holds its first big event one week from Monday, on August 25 in Buckhannon on the campus of WV Wesleyan College.

Download the seeding-event-flyer-and-registration-form, and I highly recommend checking out featured speaker Celia Whitler.

Celia Whitler is great. We use her music in our early worship service. Come and enjoy Celia, see good friends, and help care for this precious seed, The Grove. Listen for God’s clear call, explore your own excellence as God’s good creation.
