This piece was shot yesterday in Charleston, WV, down the street from where I live. I walk my dog past Celebration Station every day.
It’s next to Piedmont Elementary School in Charleston on the East End of the city. The playground was built 15 or so years ago and was a big accomplishment for the neighborhood, but, in the years since the newness had worn off.
Until Youthworks came to town and followed Wesley’s second rule:
Do Good.
In September, the WV Annual Conference will hold a two day event that looks at how we can make disciples of Christ for the transformation of the world. As we count down the weeks to Commission Possible in Summersville (register here), look for more of these little pieces exploring what evangelism is through stories of faith and ministry.
Tomorrow, I’ll finish up posting on Rueben Job’s book, Three Simple Rules: Stay in Love with God.
